* His time spent in the world of comic villainy over for now, Rhys Ifans is jumping into an adaptation of a literary classic by joining Mia Wasikowska, Ezra Miller, and Paul Giamatti in Madame Bovary, based on Gustave Flaubert's novel about a woman who has adulterous affairs to escape her boring marriage. Rhys Ifans will play a manipulative merchant in the film directed by Sophie Barthes(Cold Souls). [Variety]
* Brit thesps Matthew Goode and Paul Bettany both have some pretty high profile gigs on the way. Goode has Park Chan-Wook's English language debut, Stoker, while Bettany will return as the voice of Jarvis in Iron Man 3. Early next year the two will team up on Destroyer, a historical thriller set during the Falklands War and centered on the sinking of the HMS Coventry. Tom Shankland(The Children) will direct.
