Tom Hooper's Les Miserables has begun screening for critics, and so far the response has been extraordinary. In fact, I would say that's an understatement, with many already proclaiming it the director's second straight Best Picture winner. Anne Hathaway has especially been single out as a potential Best Supporting Actress contender, which would be her first Oscar nomination since 2008's Rachel Getting Married.
All this to say that Les Miserables is clearly going to be in the thick of the awards action, and as we inch closer to its release a new French poster has been revealed which highlights the spectacular cast. Starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfried, Anne Hathaway, Sacha Baron Cohen, Samantha Barks, and Helena Bonham Carter, the film is an adaptation of the musical Broadway smash and Victor Hugo's 1862 novel.
