New posters for 'Zero Dark Thirty', 'Jurassic Park 3D', 'Killing Them Softly', and 'Simon Killer'

You know how this works. A bunch of posters have been released today, so let's just round 'em up in one place and get to it.

The first is an impressively designed one-sheet for Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty. Other than maybe Life of Pi, Rust and Bone, and Django Unchained, it's one of the last true Best Picture contenders we've yet to see. The one-sheet features what looks like key moments in the lettering, including a very patriotic silhouette dead in the center. Starring Chris Pratt, Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton, Mark Strong, and many more, the film opens on December 19th.

A rather minimal poster or Andrew Dominik's Killing Them Softly has emerged, and it too has a touch of patriotism at the heart of it. Set in the wake of the 2008 Presidential election, the film stars Brad Pitt as a hit man investigating the robbery of a mob-protected poker match. Sounds pretty straight forward, but there's more to it than that as the story explores the effects of capitalism and a fading economy on desperate men. Killing them Softly hits on November 30th.

Are you ready for a return to Jurassic Park.....in 3D!!!?? In celebration of the 20th anniversary, Steven Spielberg's classic dinosaur flick is heading back into theaters on April 5th, and the new one-sheets welcomes you with open claws...uh, doors. Normally I'd say just rent the Blu-Ray or something, but this is Spielberg so you know the 3D conversion will be sweet.

And lastly comes my favorite of the bunch, a Kubrickian poster for Simon Killer, a psycho-thriller from director Antonio Campos(Afterschool). Brady Corbet(Funny Games) stars as an American who travels to Paris and falls in love with a provocative young prostitute. As he becomes more entrenched in her life, we begin to discover that he's been hiding a dark and sinister past. Simon Killer opens next April.
