New trailer for Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'The Last Stand'

Nobody can gun down a side of beef better than Arnold Schwarzenegger. That's about all that I took from the latest trailer for The Last Stand, which has the Governator as a small town sheriff who is called into action when a crime lord busts out of a federal convoy and heads towards the border. The funny thing about this film, directed by Kim Ji-Woon(I Saw the Devil), is that I don't think Arnold would have touched it back in his glory days. It seems to bank too much on the fact that he's an old, saggy 65-year old man. Actually, all of Arnold's flicks rely on it., which bugs me to no end.

Described as the "final" trailer before the film opens early next year, it's focus is mostly on the comedic relief supporting players, including Johnny Knoxville and Luis Guzman. While the action looks intense, it's not especially distinct, which is worrisome since Ji-Woon's South Korean films have such a unique flavor. Hopefully he's not toning things down for his big Hollywood debut.

The Last Stand opens on January 18th 2013 and co-stars Jamie Alexander, Forest Whitaker, Rodrigo Santoro, and Peter Stormare....
