Darn you, Christopher Nolan! Now you're just screwing with the fanboys' delicate sensibilities! Last month a rather incredible rumor emerged that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was in talks to play Batman in the upcoming Justice League film, essentially continuing on from where The Dark Knight Rises left off. This, as one might expect, cracked the Internet in half for awhile until Levitt's reps shot the rumor down. But what else were they going to say? In other words, the rumor is still very much alive and kicking.
Christopher Nolan is doing his part to keep it alive, as well. When Movieline came right out and asked him about it, here was his response....
Nolan: “I can’t talk about that. You know that.”
That's obviously not a "No", which I would expect if it were truly a dead issue. That leads me to think there's at least something going on, or at least there was something going on. And if there isn't something going on, why wouldn't he be able to talk about it? With Justice League gearing up for a 2015 release, we're going to start hearing something tangible real soon.
