Burned out on hobbits and elves and wizards and all that stuff yet? Well, good, because the hype for The Hobbit trilogy has moved on to the threat of Smaug, the terrible dragon who sounds an awful lot like that guy from War Horse. We just received the first shot of Bilbo Baggins looking plenty terrified while in the dragon's golden lair, and now this clip has been released where Smaug is the hot(see, because he's fire-breathing!) topic of discussion.
While in the elven kingdom, Gandalf, Elrond, Galadriel, and that jerk Saruman haggle over the danger posed by Smaug, especially if he sides with a rising dark power. You can probably figure out who the "enemy" is they're talking about, and the seeds of Saruman's treachery are clearly being planted.
