It's another heist for Matt Damon and George Clooney in 'The Monuments Men'
George Clooney and Matt Damon are teaming up again for another heist film, and no we're not talking about Oceans 14. Damon has entered talks to join The Monuments Men, the star-studded WWII film which Clooney will direct, star, and co-write.
Already boasting a cast that should have marketing folks drooling, Damon would star alongside Cate Blanchett, Daniel Craig, Jean Dujardin, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Bob Balaban, and Hugh Bonneville. Those are going to be some awesome set photos, just sayin'. The film is an adaptation of Robert M. Edsel's book, which follows a group of hand picked art enthusiasts tasked with retrieving priceless works of art stolen by the Nazis. Damon's role is unclear right now, and honestly does it really matter?
Clooney and Damon have remained tied at the hip since since the Oceans movies wrapped up. Damon(along with Brad Pitt) made a hilarious cameo in Clooney's Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Clooney also served as a producer on The Informant!, which Damon starred in for Steven Soderbergh. [Deadline]
