Sure Shots: Robin Williams; Don Scardino; Ellen Page
* Robin Williams is set to star in Boulevard, the latest drama from Dito Montiel(Fighting). Williams plays Nolan Mark, a devoted husband in a marriage of convenience forced to confront his own secrets when he meets an emotionally guarded young man named Leo, played by newcomer Roberto Aguire. Williams has been keeping a low profile of late, but he'll be seen next in Lee Daniels' The Butler, and will star in the comedy The Angriest Man in Brooklyn. Montiel recently completed Empire State with Dwayne Johnson and Liam Hemsworth.
* Don Scardino(The Incredible Burt Wonderstone) is in talks to direct a remake of 1979 crime caper, Going in Style. The original film is pretty great, featuring the talents of George Burns, Lee Strasberg, and Art Carney as three bored senior citizens who decide to rob a bank then spend it all in Vegas. The script comes from Ted Melfi, who will be helming Bill Murray's St. Vincent de Van Nuys. [Deadline]
* Ellen Page is going to have a very busy month, as she's starring in Touchy Feely and The East, two films debuting at Sundance next week. Now comes word she'll be adding another film to her schedule, as Variety says she's attached to Into the Forest, based on the novel by Jean Hegland. The post-apocalyptic story centers on two teenaged sisters living in a remote forest in Northern California, struggling to survive as society decays around them. Ellen Page is still playing teens? No details on a director or other casting, but hopefully we'll learn more soon.
