Is anyone else kind of surprised by how Abigail Breslin's career has shaped up? She couldn't stay the adorable age of Little Miss Sunshine forever, I get that. But New Year's Eve? The Call? I don't know. And I don't know about the new horror movie Haunter, either.
Haunter is the upcoming flick from director and writer Vincenzo Natali, who perhaps you remember from that 2009 movie Splice? Where a couple made a clone baby and then clone baby was like I'M WEIRD AND MONSTROUS and then it had sex with its father and it was all ... just ... weird? How many more times can I say "weird" to describe this movie? I'm hoping you get the idea.
Anyway, Haunter looks not as bizarre as Splice was, but still, it's Abigail Breslin in a haunted house, with a ghost trying to protect her from suffering her same fate. So there's that. The film must have something promising because it was picked up by IFC Midnight at South by Southwest, but still, I'm skeptical. What does everyone else think?
Haunter hits theaters and iTunes on Oct. 18, right in time for Halloween. Obviously. Check out the trailer below!
