Am I sick of the Duplass brothers? Quite probably. It's not that any of their movies - Cyrus; Jeff, Who Lives at Home; Your Sister's Sister; Safety Not Guaranteed; and Black Rock - were bad, necessarily. But I'm pretty sure Bad Milo, a movie about a demon that comes out of someone's ass, is where I draw the line.
To be fair, Jay and Mark Duplass are only producing the film, which stars Ken Marino from Veronica Mars and Party Down. BUT WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS? I'm just as infuriated and nauseated by watching this trailer as I was when I sat through that terrible French horror movie Rubber, about the tire that murders people. I mean, really. Really? Goddammit.
So yes, Bad Milo is about a demon that lives inside Ken Marino's butt and then comes out and starts killing people. Is there really anything else you need to know about Bad Milo? I don't know. Gillian Jacobs from Community is in it?
Look, if you want to watch this trailer, just watch it. I'm sure there's nothing more I can say that will impact you. "Bloodthirsty butt demon" is selling point enough, I guess.
Bad Milo is on demand starting Aug. 29, and hits theaters Oct. 4. Ugh.
