Garrett Hedlund Joins 'Unbroken'; Tom Wilkinson Goes On 'The Business Trip'
* For her follow-up directorial effort Unbroken, Angelina Jolie is aiming for bigger stars than the completely unknown cast for her debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey. The adaptation of Lauren Hillenbrand's novel already has Jack O'Connell and Domhnall Gleeson aboard, and now the latest to join is Tron: Legacy star Garrett Hedlund. He'll play POW Commander John Fitzgerald in the film which recounts the incredible true story of Olympian and WWII pilot Louis Zamperini (O'Connell), whose plane crashed into the sea in 1943. Adrift with his crewmates for more than a month, he was eventually captured by the Japanese and tortured for two years. The Coen Brothers wrote the most script, and the great Roger Deakins (Skyfall) is handling cinematography. Unbroken opens next year on Christmas Day.[Variety]
* Filming is now underway on the Vince Vaughn-led comedy, The Business Trip, and he's just now finding his co-pilot. Tom Wilkinson has stepped into the passenger seat, joining a cast that includes Nick Frost and James Marsden. Vaughn plays an American businessman on a disastrous trip to Europe, with Wilkinson as his associate and traveling companion. Odd pairing, but Wilkinson can be quite funny when called upon. Vaughn's Delivery Man director Ken Scott is at the helm.
