New Extended 'Thor: The Dark World' Trailer Offers Up More Loki

The complicated family feud between godly siblings Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) was interesting enough to power most of Marvel's second phase, and it appears to be just as integral a piece of phase three. Their rivalry stands at the center of the sequel Thor: The Dark World, and a new extended trailer offers up another look at it.

Much of this footage has been seen before, but there are a few fresher glimpses that were revealed at Comic-Con over the summer. The story mostly has Thor dealing with the threat of the dark elf Malekith (Christopher Eccleston), while also watching his back for the knife Loki will inevitably stab him with.  As before, the impact of Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor is clearly being felt, as the film has a harsher edge than Kenneth Branagh's Shakespearean take.  There is one particular scene not revealed online, and probably never will be, that absolutely screams Game of Thrones. It's guaranteed to be a shocker, that's all I'll say.

Thor: The Dark World opens on November 8th. Apparently we'll get a look at even more footage during Agents of SHIELD next week.
