Bringing together an incredible cast that includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Sally Hawkins, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche, and David Strathairn, the film draws upon Godzilla's nuclear roots and blankets it in deep layers of government conspiracy. Intense from the literal jump as soldiers make a drop through thick layers of black smog masking Godzilla's presence, it's clear that Edwards has put his first blockbuster budget to stunning use.
