Actually, that headline is a bit of a lie. Deathlok, Marvel's most popular government-controlled cyborg, has been a part of Agents of SHIELD since episode one, played by J. August Richards as Mike Peterson. We pretty much saw this coming, didn't we? The announcement confirms Peterson will become Deathlok on the February 4th episode titled 'T.R.A.C.K.S.'. Transformed into the cybernetic solider against his will, Mike Peterson must struggle to find the man in the machine. With a high-tech eye that allows him to see through walls, super strength and increased speed courtesy of a cybernetic leg, will Deathlok fight alongside the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or against them?
Between this and the earlier announcement of Jaimie Alexander reprising her Thor role as Sif on show's 15th episode, there should be no more complaining about a lack of superheroes on the show. Sif will come to Earth looking to take down Asgardian villain, Lorelai, played by Elena Satine.
