There's been a lot of movement at the top of Nancy Meyers' The Intern, but she's having no trouble luring in talent to join co-star Robert De Niro. Once set for Tina Fey, the project never got moving until it came back last year with De Niro and Reese Witherspoon. That configuration didn't last long as Witherspoon dropped out soon after, and now it's Anne Hathaway who may give it a shot.
According to THR, Hathaway is in talks to join Meyers' workplace comedy, which she will write and direct. If all works out, she'll play the founder of a successful fashion company who decides to hire a senior citizen (De Niro) as her intern. A relationship develops between them as he becomes an indispensable asset around the office.
Hathaway is set to star in Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, and will lead the musical drama Song One which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
