Rocket Raccoon and Groot Blast Away in Early 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Concept Footage

According to some outlets, the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer will be arriving on Tuesday, February 18th. That may be true, although nobody can actually prove it since the source took down the tweet moments later. Whether it happens that day or not we can probably expect to see the trailer very soon. But Movieweb claims to have the first footage in the form of two animated GIFs described as "concept footage", and it's of the team's most popular characters Rocket Raccoon and Groot.





This looks an awful lot like a portion of the footage shown at Comic-Con last summer, and is almost guaranteed to be in the trailer in full-color. The Comic-Con clips didn't have Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel's voices, though, so that will be a brand new addition worth listening out for.

Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Benicio Del Toro, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillen, Glen Close, John C. Reilly, Ophelia Lovibond and is directed by James Gunn for release on August 1st.
