Channing Tatum, Ralph Fiennes, and Tilda Swinton Join the Coens' 'Hail Caesar'
Whenever the Coen Brothers are planning a new film it's going to be a big deal. Not only does it come with lofty expectations creatively, but also in terms of star power. Their follow-up to last year's Inside Llewyn Davis was revealed to be the long-developing Hail Caesar, teaming the duo up with George Clooney for the fourth time. And while reports of Josh Brolin joining the cast have been thrown into question, the addition of Channing Tatum, Ralph Fiennes, and Tilda Swinton more than makes up for it.
The story comes from THR who report Tatum, Fiennes, and Swinton as joining Clooney in the film, which is set in 1950s and centers on Eddie Mannix, a fixer who protects stars for big Hollywood studios. Tatum continues his run of working with top-notch directors, coming aboard as a Gene Kelly-esque star while Swinton is a gossip columnist and Fiennes is a studio director. As for Brolin, some trades still list him for the film while others are leaving him out.
This one is coming together fast and it wouldn't be a shock to see the Coens debut Hail Caesar next year, probably at Cannes.
