First 'Leprechaun: Origins' Trailer Wants Your Gold

Quick, name the current WWE superstar who may also be their biggest Hollywood actor? No, it's not Dwayne Johnson, and Dave Bautista just "retired" again last Monday night. So who does that leave? Chances are you didn't say Dylan "Hornswoggle" Postl, who played a singing inmate in Muppets Most Wanted and will take on the iconic title role in the horror reboot, Leprechaun: Origins.

WWE Studios and Lionsgate have released the first trailer and a new image for the film which will relaunch the franchise after a string of sequels turned the once-terrifying Leprechaun into a magically delicious joke. Directed by Zach Lipovsky (the SyFy Channel movie Tasmanian Devils) and starring a bunch of unknowns as a pair of couples terrorized by the Irish legend, the tone of this one is both dark and silly, as it probably should.

Leprechaun: Origins hits VOD on August 26th followed by a Blu-Ray/DVD release September 30th.
