Matthew McConaughey May Not Return for 'Magic Mike XXL'

Things have changed a little bit for Matthew McConaughey since baring (mostly) all in Magic Mike. Obviously he's won an Oscar and could be on his way to more, but with the sequel Magic Mike XXL on the way it was just sort of assumed he would throw on his cowboy hat and chaps for a comeback. That may not be the case, though, and it seems McConaughey has figured he's gotten so big there's no need to do all that stripping anymore.

According to comedian Gabriel Iglesias, who played the DJ in Magic Mike (and has his own film The Fluffy Movie coming up), McConaughey may not return for Magic Mike XXL because he's just too much of a big deal now....

Iglesias: “Word has it that Matt’s probably not gonna be involved, because he’s worth a lot of money now – that whole Oscar thing...."

Oh great. Does he think the McConaissance happened on its own? No, it was due to all those ladies who piled into theaters to watch him shake his money maker. Dallas Buyers Club? What's that? Mud? Wha? Hopefully Tatum, director Greg Jacobs, and enough of the old cast will blow up McConaughey's phone in an effort to get him back.  [Dish Nation]
