Benedict Cumberbatch Cracks the Code in New Trailer for 'The Imitation Game'

This season you'll have two chances to check out Benedict Cumberbatch on the silver screen, but only in one will you actually see him. While we're hear his booming voice as Smaug in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, the performance that has earned him some early Best Actor buzz is in The Imitation Game, where he plays mathematician and WWII hero Alan Turing.

A new trailer for the film has arrived, and while Cumberbatch looks great as always, his supporting cast of Keira Knightley, Mark Strong, and Matthew Goode shouldn't be overlooked. Nor should the contribution of director Morten Tyldum, switching gears after directing the madcap crime flick, Headhunters. Turing was the math genius and cryptanalyst who cracked the Nazis' Enigma Code, helping to save Allied lives and bring WWII to an end.

The Imitation Game opens November 28th.
