Jason Momoa says his Aquaman will be "Bad-Ass"; wants Zack Snyder for Director

One of Hollywood's worst kept secrets was Jason Momoa taking on the role of Aquaman. First rumored to play Aquaman more than a year ago, Momoa steadfastly denied any involvement even as it became clearer the character would appear in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But now that Momoa has been confirmed, the actor opened up to fans while attending the Comic-Con Experience in Sao Paolo Brazil.

Captured in a series of tweets, Momoa revealed that he was signed to play Aquaman a long time ago, probably since when the rumors first surfaced. He'll appear as the King of Atlantis in at least four movies, beginning with Batman v Superman, the two Justice League films, and finally the solo Aquaman film which Momoa wants Zack Snyder to direct. We've heard that this version of the character would be more physical and Momoa confirms he'll be a "bad-ass", which is why they hired him in the first place.

Aquaman will debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25th 2016. The solo Aquaman movie arrives on July 27th 2018. [via CBM]
