Flash/Arrow Spinoff Series to Team-Up Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller, and Caity Lotz (???)

The worlds of CW's The Flash and Arrow are getting bigger in a way nobody saw coming. While it has been known that Brandon Routh's The Atom character may be getting his own series at some point, it's not being reported by Deadline it will be part of a superhero team-up involving popular characters from both shows.

Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Marc Guggenheim are developing the series which will include Routh, Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, and most surprisingly, Caity Lotz, who played Sarah Lance aka Black Canary. It's surprising because Lance was killed off recently with the Canary persona taken over by her sister, Laurel (Katie Cassidy), so it's unclear how Lotz factors into the new show. Will she play a new character? Or is Sarah Lance somehow back from the grave? There will also be three DC Comics characters that have never been on TV before, so start speculating now who they could be.

This is pretty early on and more news could emerge soon, but this is pretty exciting for fans of both shows.
