Jack Huston in Talks to Lead 'The Crow' Reboot

Given how things have worked out thus far for a reboot of The Crow, perhaps getting too excited is a bad idea. However it does appear that things are finally getting moving again after the recent departure of star Luke Evans, and the hiring of up 'n coming director Corin Hardy (The Hallow). According to Deadline, the new frontrunner to play the avenging hero is Boardwalk Empire's Jack Huston.

Huston is in talks to take on the role of Eric Draven, a murdered rocker reborn to avenge his death and that of his fiancee. Alex Proyas directed the cult favorite 1994 film based on the popular comic, but getting the pieces together for the reboot has been difficult.

Perhaps Huston, who is currently filming a Ben-Hur remake and had a role in American Hustle, can give the film the star it has been looking for. He's also set to take the male lead in Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, and will be seen next in the Nicholas Sparks adaptation, The Longest Ride.
