With Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, and Emily Blunt already on board, Snow White and the Huntsman prequel, simply titled The Huntsman, already has a deep and talented cast. How much more could it possibly need? Well, there's always room to add someone the caliber of Jessica Chastain.
Chastain is joining the spinoff, which takes place before Snow White enters the picture, which is why Kristen Stewart isn't involved. The story will show how Eric the Huntsman first crosses paths with Ravenna, the evil queen. Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, a visual effects wiz on the last film, will be making his directorial debut.
As for Chastain's role? Nobody knows but does it really matter? It's Chastain. She'll be great. The Huntsman opens April 22nd 2016. [Variety]
