Kristin Bell meets 'Michelle Darnell'; Kellan Lutz joins 'Extraction'

Kristen Bell is going to play personal assistant to Melissa McCarthy's title character in Michelle Darnell. Bell joins the comedy in which McCarthy plays a titan of industry who tries to rebrand herself after being convicted of insider trading. The problem is not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive. McCarthy co-wrote the script with her husband and director, Ben Falcone, along with Steve Mallory. Kathy Bates and Peter Dinklage also have roles in the film which opens April 8th 2016. [THR]

The rather terrible-sounding action flick Extraction, which features Bruce Willis, got a boost when Gina Carano recently came aboard. Now the film takes another step backwards with the addition of The Legend of Hercules and The Expendables 3 star, Kellan Lutz. Lutz is basically the real star playing Harry Turner, the CIA agent son of a legendary agent (Willis) who is kidnapped by a terrorist group. Meanwhile the son is developing a super weapon called the Condor, and discovers a vast conspiracy surrounding Dad's abduction. Ugh. Carano plays a tough field agent tracking Harry down.
