There's a youth movement going on in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse. Already we've seen Tye Sheridan come aboard as Cyclops, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, and Alexandra Shipp as Storm. So who's next? How about newcomer Lana Condor as the firecracking mutant, Jubilee?
Singer took to Instagram to make the announcement of Condor's joining the film as Jubilation "Jubilee" Lee. She was an extremely popular character after being introduced by writer Chris Claremont in Uncanny X-Men #244, becoming the youngest member of the team. In one of her first appearances she saved Wolverine's life, and he has been her mentor ever since. The character was also part of the X-Men animated series, and was seen in the original three live-action X-Men films played by two separate actresses.
X-Men: Apocalypse opens on May 27th 2016.
