Simon Pegg and Lake Bell go on a Blind Date in Trailer for 'Man Up'

Simon Pegg has found a great measure of success with his collaborations with Nick Frost and Edgar Wright, not to mention his supporting roles in Star Trek and Mission: Impossible, but as a romantic lead the results have been less than impressive. One way to maybe change all of that is by co-starring with the always-terrific Lake Bell in Man Up, a new rom-com from The Inbetweeners director, Ben Palmer. The first trailer for the date flick has been released and here's the official synopsis:

Nancy (Lake Bell), is done with dating. 10 times bitten, 100 times shy, she’s exhausted by the circus. So when Jack (Simon Pegg) blindly mistakes her for his date, no one is more surprised than her when she does the unthinkable and just —- goes with it. It’s going to take a night of pretending to be someone else for Nancy to finally Man Up and be her painfully honest, awesomely unconventional self… but will Jack also Man Up, and be able to get over her duplicity? Best just to let the evening unfold, roll with the consequences, and see if one crazy, unpredictable, complicated night can bring these two messy souls together.

Also starring Rory Kinnear, Olivia Williams, and Ophelia Lovibond, Man Up hits the UK on May 29th but has yet to gain a US date.
