Roland Emmerich's Independence Day 2 won't have the star wattage of the original without Will Smith, but it will have plenty of other familiar faces. Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman will reprise their roles from the 1996 hit, and now Emmerich has confirmed that Vivica A. Fox will also return.
Emmerich tweeted the news of Fox's return as Jasmine Dubrow, who was the girlfriend of Smith's Steven Hiller character. Jessie Usher is on board to play their son, Dylan. Liam Hemsworth is the son-in-law of Pullman's President Whitmore, and Charlotte Gainsbourg recently joined in an unspecified role.
Although she has been keeping busy over the years, this will be Fox's first major feature role in some time. Independence Day 2 opens on June 24th 2016.
