First Photos from the 'Point Break' Remake Starring Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez
In the annals of bro-tacular cinema, Point Break will forever be considered a classic. Does anybody necessarily think it needs an edgy and "kewl" remake set in the world of extreme sports? Is there any chance we'll get a duo with quite the same cool factor as Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze? Of course not, but the remake nobody wanted is filming now and the first photos are here.
Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez take over the Johnny Utah and Bodhi roles that Reeves and Swayze made famous, with Ericson Core directing rather than Kathryn Bigelow. The film largely follows the original plot of a young hotshot FBI agent who infiltrates a team of athletes that are also bank robbers. Only now their skills go beyond surfing and into other extreme sports like rock climbing, wingsuit flying, snowboarding, and high-speed motorcycling.
Also starring Teresa Palmer, Ray Winstone, and Delroy Lindo, Point Break opens on Christmas Day.
