Bruce Wills and 'Cop Out' Duo Reunite for a Detective Comedy

Remember Cop Out? That was the terrible cop comedy from 2010 that caused Bruce Willis and Kevin Smith to hate one another?  While that relationship may not ever recover, Willis must not have minded the film's writers Mark and Robb Cullen because he's teaming up with them again.

Willis is set to play a private investigator in an untitled comedy from the Cullen brothers, who will write and direct. This one sounds pretty wild, too. It centers on a down-but-not-out L.A-based private investigator who ends up doing the bidding of the notorious gang that stole his pet Buddy. To get him back he'll need to go to some extraordinary lengths while being chased by two vengeful Samoan brothers, a loan shark's goons, and other shady characters.

Filming will take place next month. Coming up for Willis are Barry Levinson's Rock the Kasbah, plus the action flick Extraction. He'll also star in Woody Allen's untitled 2016 comedy. [Deadline]
