More projects emerging out of Cannes. Rebecca Hall (Iron Man 3), Ben Foster (The Messenger), and Michael Shannon (Man of Steel) will star in State Like Sleep, from writer/director Meredith Danluck. Hall plays a woman who must deal with the unanswered questions surrounding her celebrity husband's double life after he commits suicide. [Variety]
After the two worked together on the Oscar-nominated political drama, No, Gael Garcia Bernal and director Pablo Larrain will reunite for Neruda. Bernal joins Chilean actor Luis Gnecco in the film, which centers on revered Chilean poet and politician, Pablo Neruda, during the years between 1946-1948 when he openly railed against the Pinochet regime. This is pretty much familiar ground for Larrain who has directed multiple films exploring Chile under Pinochet. [Variety]
