Need another reason to see Jurassic World on IMAX this week? How about a preview of Marvel's Ant-Man?
That's right, Marvel's tiniest hero will be on the world's biggest screen format with a 6-minute Ant-Man preview exclusively before IMAX showings of Jurassic World. This isn't something we typically see Marvel do, previewing their films before another studio's movie, but Ant-Man is a special case. The simple truth is that the buzz on it has been slight, perhaps because it doesn't have enough direct connection to the larger MCU. You could say the same about last year's Guardians of the Galaxy, but it was that film's diverse cast which piqued audience curiosity.
Of course, Universal sees the benefit in having a Marvel preview because some people may buy a ticket for that reason alone. Check out a brief teaser for this weekend's Jurassic World IMAX event. Ant-Man opens on July 17th.
