English Language Trailer for Stephen Frears' Lance Armstrong Biopic 'The Program'

The odd thing about Stephen Frears' Lance Armstrong biopic, The Program, is how long it's taken for us to see anything from it. Yesterday saw the release of the German trailer, which arrived two years after the first image of Ben Foster in the lead role was revealed to us all. So what was the hold up? Should we be concerned the film isn't any good? Well now the first English-language trailer is here to give us a better idea of what to look forward to.

Based on journalist David Walsh's book, "Seven Deadly Sins", the film chronicles the rise and fall of Armstrong, the cycling champion who overcame incredible physical odds and was looked upon as a national hero. But when allegations of doping emerged, all of that came crashing down and the public turned on him quickly. Chris O'Dowd plays Walsh, who helped expose the scandal, while Jesse Plemons, Dustin Hoffman, and Guillaume Canet co-star.

The Program still doesn't have a U.S. date but opens overseas this fall.
