'The Hobbit' and 'Star Wars' Actor Sir Christopher Lee Dead at 93
Sad news this morning as respected horror actor Christopher Lee has died at the age of 93. Lee, who initially fought in WWII as part of the SAS, became known as a horror icon through his role as Count Dracula in a series of Hammer horror films, and his breakout in 1957's The Curse of Frankenstein. Most recently Lee has become known for his appearances as Count Dooku in the Star Wars prequels, and for playing the evil Saruman in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies. He also released a number of heavy metal albums, worked frequently alongside Tim Burton on a number of films, and in 2009 he was knighted for decades of dramatic contributions.
