Matthew Vaughn Writing and Says He May Direct 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' Sequel
Following on the surprise $400M success of Kingsman: The Secret Service, enthusiasm for a sequel to the energetic spy flick has been skyrocketing. And so far we've heard plenty about a follow-up, with 20th Century Fox moving forward on it just a couple of months ago, and talk of maybe finding a way to bring Colin Firth back into the fold. But what about director Matthew Vaughn? Well, he's provided an update that suggests he'll be very much involved. He tells Yahoo...
“Well, the good news is that I’m writing it next door at the moment. If I think I can get the script good enough, then we are making it."
Vaughn didn't come back after directing X-Men: First Class or Kick-Ass, but would he be interested in a Kingsman sequel?
“I’m in love with these characters and I want to work with them again so I’ll probably be breaking the rule of [me] tending not to make sequels.”
That sounds like a "yes" so we'll just have to wait and see.
