Scoring a massive hit with a film like Pitch Perfect 2 is a pretty good way to establish oneself as a director, and now Elizabeth Banks is taking that success and rolling it into something potentially even bigger. Banks is in talks to direct blockbuster YA novel, Red Queen, which is supposedly has shades of X-Men, Hunger Games, Cinderella, and Game of Thrones, which sounds like a complete mess. Gennifer Hutchison adapted the screenplay, and if all of this comes together it will be a huge step up for Banks in the size of the projects she takes on. [THR]
