Between Fast & Furious and the record-breaking Jurassic World, Universal has no shortage of blockbuster franchises to watch over. One that shouldn't be ignored is Pitch Perfect, which just saw its sing-a-long sequel have the highest-grossing debut ever for a movie musical, guaranteeing a third film. The studio confirmed those plans just last week, and now they're reassuring fans the Bellas' biggest voices will return.
Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are reprising their roles in Pitch Perfect 3, which will arrive on July 21st 2017. Kay Cannon wrote the first two movies and was hired to begin work on a third, although it's still unknown where the story could go given the Bellas' recent global adventure.
Perhaps the focus will shift to the character played by Hailee Steinfeld? Could we see Kendrick and Wilson move into supporting roles similar to Anna Camp in Pitch Perfect 2? And will Elizabeth Banks return to co-star and direct?
