Leave it to Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell to play with our emotions when it comes to their cheesy Lifetime movie, A Deadly Adoption. They hoped to keep the whole thing secret and spring it on us at the last moment, but word got out back in April and Ferrell claimed the whole project was off. But he was just toying with us as the film had already been shot and was ready to go. After last week's teaser promised all of the campy histrionics one could have hoped for from a Lifetime movie, today's full trailer offers even more.
Even the plot synopsis is breathlessly dramatic....
Inspired by a true story, "A Deadly Adoption" is a high-stakes dramatic thriller about a successful couple (Ferrell and Wiig) who house and care for a pregnant woman (Jessica Lowndes from "90210") during the final months of her pregnancy with the hopes of adopting her unborn child.
A Deadly Adoption airs on June 20th. Is there anybody who won't be watching?
