Thor is about to face something far more menacing than Frost Giants; he's going to have to answer the telephone and make coffee. Paul Feig revealed on Twitter that Chris Hemsworth has joined his upcoming Ghostbusters film as the group's receptionist.
In the original movies the role of team receptionist was played by Annie Potts (can we get a cameo, please?), but Feig has totally messed with gender dynamics again, just as he did with The Heat and Spy. Hemsworth joins Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones in what is expected to be part of Sony's new, expanded Ghostbusters franchise.
Hemsworth has shown a dry wit as Thor, but he's beginning to stake out more comedic territory of late. He'll be seen next as Leslie Mann's incredibly handsome husband in the Vacation reboot. Paul Fig's Ghostbusters opens July 22nd 2016.
