While many assumed the reason for Marvel's absence from next month's San Diego Comic-Con had to do with Disney wanting everything held for D23, that doesn't seem to be the case. How do we know? Because Disney and Lucasfilm are bringing Star Wars: The Force Awakens to Comic-Con.
It was announced today that Lucasfilm will be holding a Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel in Hall H on Friday, July 10th. The time is still being sorted out, but it doesn't really matter because if you plan on being there you'll need to be in line on Thursday! Kathleen Kennedy, JJ Abrams, Lawrence Kasdan and "special guests" will be on hand offering a sneak peek at the film, with more announcements expected tomorrow.
Star Wars will have a major presence with other panels on that day. Here's a rundown:
