Who would have thought their was upward mobility in the world of movies about hot cars and hot babes, but with Jason Statham moving up to Fast & Furious, that left a void to be filled in his original action franchise, The Transporter. And since Luc Besson isn't the type to just let one of his most popular brands go to waste, he's letting a new guy take the driver's seat for The Transporter Refueled.
Ed Skrein, who played Daario on Game of Thrones and will be seen in Deadpool next year, has stepped in to fill Statham's perfectly-tailored suit. As the name suggests, the film is basically an origin story, chronicling one of Frank Martin's most dangerous early jobs. All of his jobs are dangerous, but when he gets mixed up with a group of femme fatales, attracting the attention of the Russian mob who come after his father (Ray Stevenson), Frank will have to drive faster than ever to get out of trouble.
Also starring a bunch of really gorgeous women with long foreign names, The Transporter Refueled speeds into theaters on September 4th.
