Michael K. Williams Joins Michael Fassbender in 'Assassin's Creed'
It's turning out to be a huge day for Michael K. Williams, who already joined the cast of Paul Feig's Ghostbusters reboot, and now is boarding another potential franchise. According to Variety, Williams is joining the cast of Assassin's Creed, based on UbiSoft's best-selling video game series.
Starring Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, and Ariane Labed, the film will center on Desmond Miles, who is captured by a secret organization with ties to the Knights Templar. Miles is forced to jump back into the body of his ancestors, all assassins, to steal valuable historical artifacts. Williams' role is unclear but is said to be a co-starring one with potential to stick around if there are sequels.
Directed by Justin Kurzel, Assassin's Creed opens December 16th 2016.
