'Star Wars: Rogue One' Could Include Boba Fett and Other Bounty Hunters

Short of a passing reference by producer Kathleen Kennedy, the Lucasfilm panel at Comic-Con barely mentioned the Star Wars Anthology films. That doesn't mean developments have stopped on either Rogue On or the young Han Solo film, as a major rumor has surfaced about the former.

Spoilers below!

According to Bloody Disgusting, who have gotten their hands on some potential plot details on Star Wars: Rogue One. What we recently heard was that Darth Vader could make some kind of appearance in the Gareth Edwards-directed film, which makes sense considering the story is of the rebel mission to steal the Death Star plans. Well it turns out that the rebels succeed, and the Empire hires a group of bounty hunters to get the plans back...

“Ben Mendelsohn’s new Moff character is indeed the big baddie of Rogue One. The other main villains of the piece are bounty hunters hired by the Moff to quietly retrieve the stolen Death Star plans at all costs. Vader factors in once he realizes that the plans have been stolen, so he joins the hunt in a supporting role and is none too pleased."

"These bounty hunters include Boba Fett, Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss & 4LOM, IG-88, and Cad Bane, who is from ‘Clone Wars’ and is making his live action debut.”

While it's still unclear if Boba Fett will get a solo movie as he was originally intended, this could be a cool way to work him in sooner.  Star Wars: Rogue One stars Ben Mendesohn, Felicity Jones, Riz Ahmed, Sam Claflin, and Diego Luna, opening in 2016.
