Batman and Superman May Get Equal Treatment in New 'Dawn of Justice' Trailers
The most recent rumors surrounding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice have revolved around the screen time for DC's two biggest heroes. Henry Cavill's presence has apparently been reduced, while Warner Bros. execs really want to see more of Ben Affleck's Batman, which makes sense considering he's getting a solo movie. While there may be some question who is the film's actual lead character, it appears a way has been found to give them equal treatment in the trailers.
A new rumor surfacing at Heroic Hollywood says two character-specific teasers are set to debut on Monday, October 26th. One would center on Superman and debut during the premiere of CBS' Supergirl series, which makes sense. A Batman teaser would run that same night during, what else, an episode of Gotham over on Fox. They would then be followed by a full trailer released in November ahead of Creed, Spectre, or The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.
This is all just speculation for now and may not happen, so take it with a grain of salt. The networks would have to agree to it, and there's no real incentive for them to do that. There's also the risk of casual fans thinking the movies exist in the same universe as the TV shows, which they definitely don't.
We'll see what happens. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25th 2016.
