Dave Bautista Heads to 'Bushwick', Joins Bruce Willis for 'Marauders'

While Dave Bautista has occasionally made his way back to the WWE's squared circle, he's reached the point of being too busy for that to happen any time soon. The Guardians of the Galaxy star has a major role in the next James Bond film, Spectre, and now he's just added two more projects that will keep him occupied for the foreseeable future.

First up, Bautista has joined Jane Levy (Evil Dead) in Bushwick, a film set in a time when Texas is trying to secede from the union, and New York is being used as a bargaining chip. Bautista plays Stupe, a war veteran who helps Levy's character cross the dangerous five blocks to Bushwick while Brooklyn is being invaded by the military. The film will be directed by Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott based on their own original story.

And finally, Bautista, Bruce Willis, and Christopher Meloni will star in Marauders. The action thriller directed by Steven C. Miller (Silent Night) centers on an FBI agent in pursuit of bank robbers who uncovers secrets held by the bank's owner (Willis). The other roles have yet to be made clear but chances are Bautista is one of the thieves rather than the detective. Filming on Marauders begins later this year. [EW/Deadline]
