Jamie Foxx In Talks To Join Edgar Wright's Chase Film, 'Baby Driver'

Edgar Wright doesn't make a ton of movies, so fans were obviously disappointed when things didn't work out for him on Ant-Man. That said, it gave him the chance to go back to another film he'd been developing for a while, Baby Driver, and the cast of that one is shaping up to be very impressive with Ansel Elgort and Lily James already on board. Another name attached was Ant-Man's Michael Douglas, but word from Deadline is that he's out and Jamie Foxx is in talks to step in.

Foxx would take the role of a crime boss who convinces a young, mute getaway driver named Baby (Elgort) to aid a group of bank robbers.  When the heist goes wrong, Baby, who listens to the beat of his own personal soundtrack, must face the music when his life, love, and freedom are threatened. Wright came up with the idea after directing Mint Royale's video for "Blue Song" back in 2003.

Filming on Baby Driver begins later this year for release on March 17th 2017.
