New 007 Theme Song to be Performed by Sam Smith

No other franchise makes a bigger deal of its theme song than James Bond, and after months of speculation it has finally been confirmed by Sony that Sam Smith will perform the track for Spectre. Titled "Writing's On the Wall", the song will be made available on September 25th through Capitol Records.

The "Stay with Me" singer co-wrote the song with Grammy winner Jimmy Napes, making Smith the first British-born artist to perform the Bond theme in fifty years. He'll have big shoes to fill as Adele's "Skyfall" won awards at the Grammys, Academy Awards, and Golden Globes. 

Spectre opens on November 6th.
