With Force Friday dominating the news cycle yesterday, stores crowded with lines of sweaty nerds eager to fill their carts with every Star Wars toy imaginable, only to post photos of their haul all over social media, it's okay if you're feeling burned out on Star Wars: The Force Awakens right now. Well, maybe this will help, because there are three new posters for the film.
Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) stands at the center of two images, and while he's clearly being pushed to be this trilogy's Darth Vader-type character, could that also include a change of heart at some point down the road? The name Kylo Ren doesn't strike me as particularly evil, not in the way most Star Wars bad guys are named, anyway. Vader eventually returned to the light side of the Force, so don't be surprised if Ren does the same. Ren is also part of an ensemble poster featuring many of the movie's newest characters. What you won't find are some of the old guard like Han Solo, Leia, or Luke Skywalker. Then again you do get C3PO, R2-D2, and Chewbacca. The final shows the assembled military strength of the First Order.
