Adam Sandler is the White Knife in First Trailer for 'The Ridiculous 6'

How lousy does a film have to be to cause its Native American cast to walk off set in disgust? Apparently that's a question Adam Sandler can answer since that's what happened to his Netflix comedy, The Ridiculous 6. When the offending jokes were released they didn't exactly help Sandler's claim the film is "pro-Indian", and perhaps that is why the first trailer largely excludes the Native American actors. Sadly, everything else looks pretty terrible, too.

Sandler stars as the "White Knife", leader of a band of outlaws that includes Terry Crews, Jorge Garcia, Rob Schneider, Luke Wilson, and Taylor Lautner in a role that promises to offend a completely different group of people. While plot details probably don't matter all that much, it appears Sandler's posse consists of his half-brothers who must join forces to save their father while acting as Robin Hood-inspired bank robbers. While obviously a riff on The Magnificent Seven, the film's broad comedy is exactly what Sandler fans would expect. Clearly it's not looking to have the same satirical impact of Blazing Saddles.

The rest of the cast is like a "who's who" of Sandler favorites and big name celebrities: Harvey Keitel, John Turturro, Nick Nolte, Blake Shelton, Whitney Cummings, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Dan Aykroyd, Will Forte, Nick Swardson, Terry Crews, Jon Lovitz, Vanilla Ice, Luke Wilson, Steve Zahn, Danny Trejo, Chris Parnell, and more. Netflix will debut Ridiculous 6 on December 11th, making it the first of Sandler's 4-film exclusive deal with the streaming service.
