Lionsgate hasn't wasted any time rushing through their cash cow, The Hunger Games. The franchise began in 2012, saw its finale Mockingjay split into two chapters because more $$$, and now it's only three years later and the whole thing is coming to a close. No wonder there's already been talk, some of it inadvertent, about extending the franchise somehow. But for now the second half of Mockingjay is where everything wraps up, and the first clip has been released.
The film finds Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) leading the rebellion against President Snow and the Capitol. This first clip sets all of that up nicely as Katniss receives her orders, which are to basically stay out of danger so she can inspire the people from afar. Think that sits well with her or the rest of her team? Think again.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 opens November 20th.
